I hesitated for a long time between the Shea Butter range and the Lissant Défrisante beauty products range by Jean François Lazartigue. Finally, it was the latter that I chose to test, curious to know if a shampoo, conditioner and gel could relax frizzy hair.

For who ?

The range Smoothing relaxer of Jean François Lazartigue was developed for beautiful hair curly and frizzy (although this statement is not explicitly included).

Let's start at the beginning with Straightening Smoothing Shampoo .Candy pink in color, it smells fresh, it smells like strawberries (perhaps with a hint of passion fruit)! The formula of this "anti-frizz" shampoo  was developed from a gentle cleansing base and is enriched with conditioning agents, which gives it detangling and smoothing properties without weighing down hair according to Jean François Lazartigue . After the second application, the shampoo forms a pretty lather. This always reassures me and gives me the feeling of being able to better reach all of my scalp. Relaxing Smoothing Shampoo Foamis soft, voluptuous and permeates all of the hair. My hair is perfectly clean, more relaxed, however, it does not appear more straightened or straightened.

Detangling Smoothing Straightener is a conditioner. It has also been formulated from a soft base of vegetable origin and is loaded with cationic active ingredients. This detangler is applied after shampooing on damp hair. The texture is a kind of soft pink paste, flavored with wild strawberries, which easily permeates the hair and the sheath. After about thirty minutes, I rinsed out Detangling Smoothing Relaxing. Detangling is certainly easier, the hair is soft and shiny. So wet and still very twisted, I did not find any smoothing or relaxing effect.

The slight drawback is that you have to press down on the tube to get the beauty product out. Following the shampoo and detangler, my hair is supple and soft but not straightened out.

For the purposes of the test, I therefore took the appropriate equipment (hair straightener and plates) that I had abandoned in recent months, to carry out a homemade brushing followed by smoothing plates. But before using these devices, I spread all over my towel-dried hair Straightening Smoothing Gel .Fluid in texture and as fruity as its counterparts, this pink gel penetrates and distributes easily with the comb. It contains, among other things, a powerful moisturizing active ingredient which prevents drying, Shea Oil which nourishes and protects keratin and, smoothing agents. With Straightening Smoothing Gel , this is an opportunity to make an aside on the necessary utility of getting smoothing creams or gels before brushing. These treatments are very useful because they create a protective barrier against the repeated aggressions of the hair dryer and the straightening iron, moisturize, soften and coat the hair for easier straightening. Suddenly, it is less rough and the hairdryer does not encounter any obstacle. Straightening Smoothing Gel has responded well to these requirements. Once the hair is straightened, the result is of course impeccable. There are two schools to pass the straightening plates. Either we take small strands for a very smooth finish, close to straightened hair or, we take thicker strands and keep its natural thickness but, it will be more disciplined. I of course chose the second option . Indeed, ultra-smooth hair is not really my thing.

Brushing may be light, but my hair is smoothed to my liking. Well done to the gel!

FINAL VERDICT .

After a simple shampoo session (repeated over several weeks), my hair is very clearly softer, voluminously straightened (it is neither too thick nor too flat) and, coquettishly but discreetly scented until the next shampoo, despite a regular hydration. It's truly pleasent. Second option requires, some frizz escape from here and there. But, my hair does not move until the next shampoo thanks to the Relaxing Smoothing Gel . It has a waterproof action which prevents moisture from being reattached to the hair and causing frizz. At the same time, the humidity is not very important here but, in tropical countries, the frost must be more than interesting. As far as I'm concerned, the result suits me perfectly.

I would add that the 3 washing beauty products can also be used on straightened hair in order to maintain it and keep the straightening in the best conditions.
